J.Crew FO: Bubble Tissue Tank Review

This is J.Crew Outlet's version of the Bubble Tissue Tank (item #13622 for both retail and outlets).  It was currently on promotion for about $15 when I was at the outlet, and was originally marked $24.50, compared to $39.50 for retail, even though I think the retail version is currently on sale in-store as well (but not online).  (Is that confusing enough? :))  J.Crew describes the tank as such:

Destined to become one of your favorite go-to tees.  Double-layer, lightweight, bias-cut cotton (washed for incredible softness) with a chic bubble-hem bottom.  Crewneck with rib trim.  Yoke seam at chest.  Hits at hip.  Import.  Machine wash.
I have liked this tank, in theory, for awhile.  I wanted it in the light purple color, but they didn't have my size at the outlet.  I found that I had to size down in this tank, as it is naturally big.  It is made of the nice, soft, light tissue fabric.

The tank does not give you a super amount of shape, but the bubble shape gives you an interesting hem without making you seem bigger than you are.  Even from the side, I don't think there's extra weight (and please, ignore my monstrous-looking arm!).

The neckline of this tank is a sleek, simple change from the volume of the rest of the tank, and keeps it from being totally poufy and overwhelming.  The back is basically the same as the tank.  I kind like the way the fabric moves with you in the tank.

The only reason I left this tank was because they didn't have my size and color combination.  Otherwise, I definitely would have taken it home, especially for $14.99 minus my student discount!  I find that the outlet doesn't refresh its inventory with its same inventory too often, so I'm not even bothering to check back for the purple in my size.  Just for the record, The Boyfriend was not really a fan of this tank.  He said it made me look bigger in the middle than I really am.

What do you think?  Do you like this tank?  Did you pick it up at the outlet, in-store, or online?
