Note: Followers & Break
So this evening The Boyfriend and I went to Olive Garden (I am minorly obsessed with their breadsticks), and then hit up the local outlets. We were out for about 2.5 hours.
Well, during that time, I lost a follower of this blog! Sometimes I think too much stock is put into the whole "follower" concept, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed that someone decided to stop following this blog.
That being said, I've been dealing with some frustrations lately with the blogosphere, so in light of those frustrations and the loss of a follower, I'm going to be taking a break from this blog for at least a few days. I'm not sure exactly how long the break will last, but I need some time to myself to think about this whole blogging thing - I hope you all understand.
I will be back soon, and there are some posts scheduled to post in the meantime, so please keep checking back! And a sincere thank you to all of my loyal readers, followers and non-followers alike!

It seems that many people are facing these issues right now. I am sorry that you are dealing with this and hopefully the break will help. In the meantime, thank you for all of your info! Cant wait until you are back!
Hang in there! If it is any consilation, I got my first very negative anonymous comment yesterday that was rather stinging-seriously I think sometimes people fail to realize it is an actual person on the other end, because I doubt they would ever do some of these things face to face. But like with anything just brush off the dust and move on, it is important you do your blog more for you than for anyone else. I think your blog is fantastic personally!
I (heart) your blog!!! Take a break...but please come back...sincerely, a follower who won't go away!
I will be waiting for you to return. :) And thank you, again, for everything you do here!
This follower will miss you!
Ahhh no! Hope you come back soon! Thanks for everything!
I totally understand the need to take a break. I just took a tiny one last night in keeping the computer off from 5 pm until this morning and it was so refreshing. Do what you need to do. We'll be waiting when you return. :)
Don't stress about the follower leaving. I lost one this week, too. And yes, you do take it personally ("oh, ok, fine, whatever..."), but I try to remember that followers have things going on in their lives and sometimes they need to change things up. The best you can do is stay true to yourself and make yourself happy!
oh no! i hope you don't take it too personally, although i know it's hard not to. i really enjoy your blog and appreciate the time you put into it...it's not easy to post several times a day, esp. when you have a full life beyond the blog! thanks for all you do, and have a nice "break"--we'll be happy when you return :)
I really enjoy your blog! I have mixed feelings about the google firend box-- it seems like a measure of popularity right out of junior high. I also think that for new blogs and those with lower numbers, like mine, it makes people less likely to sign on. The pack mentality in blog form. Who knows. Try not to take it personally. You are going a great job!
I've just recently discover your blog and have been checking in daily. It's very informative and fun to read!
p.s. Not a 'follower' in the technical sense but it's become part of my daily blog fix.
I do want to suggest to you that it is not personal if someone decides your blog isn't for them. I myself am not a fan of some of THE most popular blogs out there- they just aren't for me. Additionally, people may "unfollow" (I'm really not sure what this following business is or its importance) for many reasons- honestly, I have 36 unread posts from your blog in my reader right now. Doesn't mean I'm not interested, just means that I haven't had time to go through them.
Don't beat yourself up about it.
Take care of yourself first!!! And "Thanks!" for all the sharing & helpful posts you provide. :)
:( I understand how you feel, it's easy to take blog stuff personally! One time I lost a friend on Facebook, and I don't know who it was, but it was weird to think of someone going online and deciding to delete me as their friend! Hang in there, I like your blog and appreciate all the effort you put into it!!
I am there with you on taking a break and the time off is just so refreshing! Blogging can be SO time consuming, especially if you are posting photos and reviews on a daily basis. I had to really cut back on computer time to refocus on other areas of my life that were being neglected and also focus on some work-related projects. I have personally found it extremely liberating to not feel enslaved to my laptop, although it can be disheartening to see numerous comments left on other blogs while yours has none or only a handful. I think you just have to do what is best for you!
As for losing followers: I have lost 3 or 4 at one time and know that it is hard not to feel upset. Please try not to let it bother you...I think your blog is great, and I don't plan to stop followin. :)
